The exhibition grew out of a recent partnership between the Municipality of Austis and the Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape Superintendency for the provinces of Sassari and Nuoro. During Cortes Apertas, volunteers with knowledge of local history guide visitors around the small display.
The community is also involved in an outdoor workshop for children, led by archaeologist Pina Corraine and technical assistant Giannella Peruzzu. Participants make objects from clay inspired by archaeology, offering another way to explore the area’s history alongside the exhibits.
The initiative begins an effort to strengthen the community’s relationship with its history and the area’s cultural heritage.
